HappyMe Terms of Use

Effective date: 7 November 2026 · Last updated: 7 November 2026

These terms apply to the HappyMe app on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). Please read them before using the app. They replace the Terms of Service dated April 2025.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Malhar Bakshi, the individual developer of HappyMe, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app, you accept these terms. Our Privacy Policy is part of this agreement. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 to use HappyMe. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must accept these terms on your behalf and help you use the app.

3. What HappyMe is

HappyMe is a self-growth app for manifestation, goal-setting and wellbeing. It offers a Vision Book, affirmations, journaling, a Daily Planner and Goal Workbook, and music and sound such as guided meditations, binaural beats and focus tracks. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

HappyMe is not medical or mental health care. It is not a medical device, therapy, or a tool to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for advice from a doctor or other qualified professional. Tracks named for sleep, pain relief or similar needs are relaxation aids, not treatments. Don’t stop or delay professional treatment because of anything in the app.

HappyMe is not a crisis service. If you are in crisis or think you may be in danger, contact your local emergency services right away.

Results from manifestation, visualisation and self-growth practices differ from person to person. We don’t promise any particular outcome.

4. Your data and backups

HappyMe has no accounts. Your journals, Vision Book, goals and plans are stored only on your device, as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

Some features need HappyMe Premium, available as a subscription or a one-time purchase.

6. Our content

HappyMe and its content belong to Malhar Bakshi or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. This includes the binaural beats, Tibetan singing bowl recordings, subliminal audio, sound healing music, guided meditations, affirmations, written prompts and the Goal Workbook.

You may listen to and use this content inside the app for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, record, download outside the app, redistribute, modify, play in public or commercially (for example in classes, clinics or livestreams), or otherwise exploit it without our written permission.

Some nature sounds, stock images and other elements come from sources that allow commercial use. We follow their licences, and give attribution where a licence requires it.

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely, without any obligation to you.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

8. Listening safely

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep HappyMe running smoothly, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may add, change or remove features and content at any time. Features marked “Coming soon” are plans, not promises, and may arrive later, change, or not arrive at all. We may discontinue the app, and will give notice where we reasonably can.

10. Disclaimers

HappyMe is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Some places don’t allow certain warranties to be excluded, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for HappyMe in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t lawfully be limited, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

12. Indemnity

You agree to cover any claims, losses or costs that arise because you broke these terms, misused the app, or infringed someone else’s rights.

13. Termination

You can stop using HappyMe at any time by deleting it from your device, and cancelling any subscription in your store settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we discontinue the app. Sections 6, 10, 11, 12 and 14 continue to apply after termination.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any consumer rights you have where you live. Before taking any formal step, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue.

15. Apple and Google

These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its content and have no obligation to provide support for it.

If you downloaded HappyMe from the App Store: if the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims about the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Your use of the app must also follow the App Store or Google Play terms that apply to you.

16. General

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about HappyMe. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours, for example if HappyMe changes ownership. We may update these terms; updates are posted on this page with a new date, and significant changes may also be shown in the app. Continuing to use HappyMe after an update means you accept it.
